Barbara Zuber-Goldstein is a writer and filmmaker based in Berkeley, California.
She is also a historian of European fascism. She received her PhD from the University of Vienna, Austria with a dissertation devoted to propaganda newsreel films created by the Austrian Police between 1929-1938. She was previously Research Scientist in the Historical Demography Laboratory of the Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research in Rostock, Germany (2006), entering the field of social research with a specialization in the history of family forms.
Following her return to the United States in 2013, she became a visiting contributing scholar at The Magnes Collection of Jewish Art and Life, researching German language archival materials in the collection.
